JUST IN: Strike; ASUU Enters Another Reconciliation Meeting With FG

Expectations are now high on what could be the outcomes of the meeting as the Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU has agreed to hold talk with the Federal Government yet again.

According to the information from the Ministry of Labour and Employment, the ongoing meeting started at 1pm.

ASUU had earlier declined meeting with FG until their reverted proposal was considered but decided to honor this particular invite from the FG delegation headed by Dr. Chris Ngige, the minister of labour and employment.

ASUU embarked on an indefinite strike on August 13 over the unpaid arrears and demands for improved infrastructure in the universities
